UPDATE ON FORMAT FOR MAY 2008
With the delivery of your monthly reports we have officially launched a new layout for our Destination Reports. We hope this will improve the readability and visual display of the data. Another benefit is the increased flexibility to add more segments to your reports. We will follow up with updated weekly report formats and some additional report offerings.

Multi-Segment or Trend Reports that include standard industry segments, such as Markets, Tracts, Counties, etc. will see no change. Those receiving historical trend reports on custom areas or hotel groupings may notice a slight change. With the new report format, we have made a minor revision to the way we are estimating or modeling the performance of non-participating hotels.

Currently non-reporting hotels are basically assigned the same occupancy and ADR as the average performance of the reporting hotel group. In the new format, non-reporting hotels are assigned an estimated occupancy and ADR based on their chain scale classification and tract tier or tract scale. The new process allows us to have more consistent estimated data for a non-participating property and to ensure you have the most accurate, actionable, and timely data available.

Our hope is that you will enjoy the new layout and as always we are happy to address any questions or comments you may have. Please direct your correspondence to support@smithtravelresearch.com
